The Most Important Day

The days of Spring slowly unfold .
Each seems more lovely than the last.

I've so enjoyed these warmer days.

As I ponder the world rushing past my window and observe the headlong rush flying by, I wonder if many consider the fact that the most important day of their life will soon arrive.

A dear one and I had a nice day out recently.
We were preparing for a little company and took some time out to enjoy shopping and lunch first.

As we went about laughing and sharing, our pleasant conversation was interrupted.
We heard some folks in a line shouting loudly and throwing words at one another that cut the air with their darkness.

It seems that the whole world outside my door is tense and it only takes a little bump to set off a keg of dynamite from within.

I pray for the world around me.

May they come to know the peace of Christ.

May they learn to savor the days they are blessed to walk upon this earth.

May they be a blessing to others for Christ.

Many people are stressed.

I know life is difficult.

But......
this is the only life we have.

It's not a rehearsal.

When it's over, it's over.

And even in the midst of great turmoil and trials, we each need to take time for what matters.

Make space for what's important.

What is important?

First of all,
our relationship with Jesus.

Being close to Him and loving His word is the only way to enter each morning with hopeful joy.

If our hearts are soaked in His Word before we even enter the opening of the day,
we not only give ourselves a good start, we have a heart prepared to be a light to those we meet throughout our day.

I don't know how other folks feel, but I don't
like to live in hopelessness or misery.

I love beauty and peace and Light.

I enjoy looking forward to each day.

I long to be a cheerful person.

I want my family and those whose path I cross today to be glad I was a part of their day.

I want the Holy Spirit to abide in my heart.

I want this day to count for eternity.

When I lay my head on my pillow tonight
I want to sleep peacefully and remember today as a blessing from God.

Life isn't meant to be lived in darkness.

Jesus came to be the Light of the world.
And His children should reflect that Light.

As I read the Word this morning I came across this Scripture......
" Therefore, we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him.
For we must all appear before the judgement seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad."
2 Corinthians 5:9

Our days on this earth are important.

Each day matters.

But we are all heading toward the most important day of our lives.

A day when each one of us will give an account for the things we've done.

That moment will truly be the supreme moment of life as we stand alone with Jesus.

So....
We begin a new day,
and a brand new morning,
may we live this wonderful gift with gratitude and a heart seeking to please our Savior 💕
