Do Not Fret
Good morning dear ones.
Let's pour a cup of tea, rest our hearts, and focus our thoughts upon our sovereign God Who holds all things in His hands.
Today might be a good day to slowly
ponder the truths of Psalm 37.
God tells us not to fret, not to be anxious or worried because it leads to trouble.
Our focus and purpose hasn't changed.
We live this day committed to the Lord and His Word, and, as with any other day, we go on with our responsibilities leaving all things in His capable Hands. .
How can we delight ourselves in the Lord today as Psalm 37 encourages us to do?
We begin by allowing His Word to flow through our minds and sing hymns in our hearts.
We offer up our sacrifice of praise.
Sometimes praise can truly
feel like a sacrifice can't it ?
There are times and situations when we
might feel like "hanging our harps on the willows" as the people of Israel did when trouble came into their land. Psalm 137:2
Courage dear heart.
When the enemy whispers discouragement, answer back with praises to God.
My choice for today is to continue my assigned work right here in my home.
I will choose to edify my family with words that lift their spirits and brighten their day.
I will make some fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans and baking soda biscuits.
I will open my front door to the sunshine and serve tea to a friend.
We will pray and remember how God has been faithful to us through fifty years of walking together with Jesus, and we'll sing some hymns.
It's a glorious day because my Savior is on the throne and He is faithfully interceding on behalf of His beloved children.
I have a lot to do this blessed day.
How about you?
How are you going to enjoy this beautiful day?
