Safe In The Arms of Jesus

"In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness and the darkness does not overcome it."  John 1:3-5

When a storm is on the horizon we are given instructions for preparing an emergency kit.

The instructions always begin with seeking a safe shelter and having a source of light.

Aside from the storage of practical needs we also need a safe harbor for heart and mind.

We need a resting place to restore our strength and to comfort our concerns.

We need light to see the path ahead and guide us on safely.

Jesus is our shelter and light.

He is a strong tower.....the righteous run in to Him and they are kept safe. Proverbs 18:10

Do you remember the story that Corrie Ten Boom shared after being imprisoned during World War Two?

She experienced the truth that "there was no pit so deep that God's love was not deeper still."

It was a reality she wanted to share with the world once she was set free.

God shelters us in times of storm.

His presence and care is sufficient for each need no matter the circumstances we are in.

This hope is the light we carry within our hearts as we prepare for stormy weather.

No matter how loud and disturbing the storm, once we find shelter and set out a light, our hearts rest within the safety of that shelter.

There is a storm upon us.

Have you prepared your heart to shelter in the safety of the Lord?

Have you prepared light from the Word to carry you through and strengthen those around you?

We are here for such a time as this.

Strengthen your hearts. Be a shelter for those around you. Greater is He that is in you that things that are in the world.

It's time.

Time to check to be sure your storm supplies are in place and that you have a shelter safe from the tempest.

God speed dear child of God.

Be safe in the arms of Jesus......
