Busy With A Joyful Heart

Ecclesiastes 5:20
"God keeps him busy with
the joy of his heart."

King Solomon had everything
a man could desire materially,
financially and physically.

He came to the conclusion
that there was vanity in
gain and honor.

It is a gift of God for a man
to work and enjoy what fruit
his labor brings.

Such a person isn't focused on
how short and troubled life is,
and their focus isn't on gaining
more than is necessary.

They have learned to
keep busy with each daily
blessing and the wonderful
presence of the Lord.

They enjoy their daily labor.

They enjoy the fruits of their labor.

They live calmly enjoying
the moment and what is
given each day.

Such people live in
the counsel of Christ Who
tells us not to worry but
to seek God first.
Matthew 6:31

We are passing through life
on a short journey.

This knowledge encourages
us to enjoy life while it lasts.

 "Don't borrow trouble,"
Grandma used to say.

Don't look into tomorrow
and worry.

Each day
has enough to deal with.
Matthew 6:34

Do the next thing.

Enjoy the work assigned
for this day and then
enjoy the fruit that labor
brings to your life.

Enjoy your daily portion.

Don't focus on the dark side.

God occupies us with
the joy of our heart.

He controls what comes.

Each day will have it's provision.

Enjoy what He gives.

Don't rush through the day,
or hurry while enjoying
the fruit you earn by
your labor.

Savor it.

It's meant to be enjoyed.

A clean kitchen?
Stand back and enjoy.

A good meal?
Savor the goodness.

A call from a friend?
Cherish the moment.

A pretty sunset?
Stay awhile....soak it in.

A Scripture of hope?
Ponder it.
Let it sink into your heart.

A song of cheer?
Let it echo in your memory.

Don't take today for granted.

Go slowly and savor.

This day won't return.

Keep busy with a joyful heart.

God's Word says to sing
and make melody in
your heart and to speak
to one another in Psalms
and hymns.
Ephesians 5:19

Let those in your home
and around you hear your
heart and voice humming
praise to God.

Speak words from
Scripture that edify and
encourage those within
range of your voice.

Why add to the gloom?

We have the gift of
hope and joy from Jesus,
why not live it out and
be a blessing?
♥️

A hymn I learned today
and am cherishing in my heart....
