I Come To The Garden🌷

Lovely things pop up daily in the yard and garden surrounding the little cottage.

It is becoming lush and green on the earth while the skies are filled with the symphony of birdsong.

Dear one and I sat in the garden and quietly listened to the sounds all around and let our eyes feast on the beauty growing at our feet.

It was a glorious moment.

I hope we all find time to sit and soak in our blessings. They are precious gifts from God.

I noticed my iris buds are covered in a tissue like paper or wrapping before they bloom. It touched my heart as I realized the Father's Hand in creating this flower included gift wrap!  He is so wonderful, even in the simple things. Imagine gift wrapping a gift of iris and opening it before our eyes......just for our enjoyment!

Thank You Lord......

Can you spot the little gray cottage peeking out between the budding pear tree?

Doesn't she look sweet and cozy tucked into all the Spring greens?

There are some tiny white buds on some bushes my husband planted by the back door. I'm not sure what they are but they are sweet and the bumble bees love them.🐝🐝

And glory be! My first year of lilacs on this bush! They smell like purple wonderfulness!! I'm sure that's not a word, but it's the best description I can think of to convey their beauty.

And look! My flower garden seeds are popping up...zinnias here below. How wonderful to know the yard will be filled with colorful flowers.

We've planted our yard so we can have flowers and bouquets from March through about October.

I like sharing my bouquets with my dear neighbors and friends.

The tiny prayer cottage is looking pretty.
We planted lots of perennials a couple of years ago around the trees and yard here. They are looking nice and full this year.
This is a lovely little retreat to be quiet and enjoy the Lord.

My chicks and hen plant is peeking up through the soil. She's a beauty when she's filled the pot.

And one of my favorites has returned...my dusty miller plant. She's such a pretty soft silver/grey and becomes quite large as the days warm.

The sidewalk is surrounded by wild growing orange day lilies. They will be colorful soon. Our cottage is surrounded by hundreds of these beauties. They grow wild in our area.

And finally....a new bouquet for our dining table. Lovely purple iris....or as some people in the South call them....purple flags.
This is the first bouquet. They also grow in yellow and a few in rare white.

I hope you enjoyed the little tour of the cottage gardens.

I will return tomorrow with more from 1 Corinthians.

Grace and peace be unto you....
