Strengthen The Things That Remain
This verse in Revelation has come to my mind so often lately......Wake up! Strengthen the things that remain.
It's a reminder to be watchful and alert, not allowing our spiritual life to decline.
It's easy right now to be drawn away and focused on the drama playing out around us,
whether in our personal lives, or the happenings in our world.
We can become distracted from a focused walk of abiding in Christ if we don't discipline our thoughts.
We lose ground anytime we glance about at the noise and chaos about us.
It's vital to hold steady spiritually and to keep our armor on.
Many are defecting right now in the public arena and in private lives.
This is not safe in warfare.
We are soldiers for Christ, here to serve Him.
We are to brace ourselves and hold the line.
Our focus is on the place the Lord has planted us personally.
We aren't to be looking over our shoulder at the crashing waves.
Our allegiance is to Christ.
Our focus is Christ.
Strength comes through knowing who we are in Him and staying fully focused on Him and what He has called us to do during this warfare.
Those who remain faithful in battle will do so because they remain focused on Truth and follow the Lord unhesitatingly.
We can't waver between two opinions.
If the Lord is our God we must follow Him.
1 Kings 18:21
Now is the time to strengthen every area of heart and mind.
Find promises to stand on and hold to them without any doubting.
The one who doubts is like the surf of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. That person cannot expect anything from the Lord.
James 1:6
Storm warnings are on the horizon.
The Lord has given us eyes to see and hearts to understand.
We do best to heed the warnings and prepare to stand without wavering.
Strengthen trust.
Strengthen obedience.
Strengthen time in His presence.
Resolve to follow no matter where He leads.
Resolve to pick up your cross and follow.
Resolve not to compromise.
Resolve to stand even if alone.
Don't give heed to emotions. Stand on Truth.
We are on this earth for such a time as this.
It's God's will that we are here during this exact time in history.
May He find us faithful.
We can't buckle under if we want to be His soldier.
Be strong in the Lord. Put on the belt of Truth and the breastplate of righteousness.
Ready your feet with the gospel and take up the shield of faith. Put on the helmet of salvation, hold firmly to your sword which is the Word of God.
And pray.
We are told to put on this armor so when the day of evil comes we can stand our ground.
Practice putting on this armor daily.
Battles are on the horizon, but the battle belongs to the Lord.
Through our God we shall do valiantly.
