Winter Cheer
My husband brought home a sweet
snow couple to brighten our home.
He knows I love snowmen.... they're always smiling.
Then he painted a little red truck
to put on the mantle....
All merry and bright.
We usually keep our December on the quiet side. I tend to put up Winter lights or a couple of cheery things that add a glow to the home.....things that can stay up until January or February that brighten the Winter days and add a smile.
Like this lovely sign my
daughter made.
Simple and festive.
Then the Lord sent us a pretty
dusting of snow
to add to our decorations.
Just right!
We enjoy visiting the Avoca mansion/museum each Christmas season
for their tour and Christmas tea.
It was a beautiful day.
The weather was brisk,
but inside was cozy and charming.
So fun stepping back in time....
They have a room for children
with nature finds.
I liked the little red fox.
I leave you with a favorite
Christmas hymn.
The words truly represent
the heart of Christmas to me....
