A Sweet Visitor

A sweet visitor tiptoed through my yard today.

She left quietly but not until she dropped off some lovely blessings in my dull brown yard.

Sunshine yellow daffodils are now peeking through the dry leaves in my back yard.

She also sprinkled the front yard with some lavender crocus.....so thoughtful.

I feel so blessed to have had such a sweet guest bless my day.

Aren't those the sweetest gifts?

God is so gracious and generous.

Spring is peeking through the bare branches, promising warmer days.

Soon, the air will be embroidered with bird song.

Even Solomon, so long ago, looked happily toward "Winter past".....that season when all the world is made new once again.

I think....I know....we are all ready for something beautiful.

It's on its way dear hearts.

We are so indebted to our precious Savior for new mercies every day aren't we?

Just having enough right now is such a gift.

But to give us a 🍒 cherry on the top, He sends the promises and beauty of a brand new Spring.

Let's cherish each moment.

Let's try really hard not to worry, hurry or scurry through this upcoming miracle of new life.

I don't know about you, but I've learned a lot of lessons this last year.

Things like.....don't take anything or anyone for granted. Our blessings....none of them.....are permanent.

Also, life is fluid. It's always changing.

This day won't come again. More days may come, but not this one. Not exactly.

Most importantly, the life we took for granted, the world we lived in, has changed. Unexpectedly and irrevocably.

We can never get back the carefree innocence, or the pieces we still had, ever again.

This is a different world.

A different world but with the same Lord.

In His wisdom and will things have changed into a new world to live in and bring His love into.

I'm going to walk carefully, circumspectly, through this new season.

I want this new season to be a time of renewed passion for Christ and service for others.

I have some gifts, you have some gifts.

Let's use them carefully, wisely.

As life opens up and we can once again look forward to sharing our lives together may we live the love of Jesus. (Even to the thorny people we know. I've even missed some of them!)

A sweet friend sent me these darling dancing daffodils......isn't that lovely!?

So cheerful....

May God's peace and joy fill your ❤️
