In Acceptance Lieth Peace

 

 I'm just dropping in today to leave you a message from Elisabeth Elliot.

If you are not aware of her story as a young missionary living with her husband in the jungle of Ecuador you can read about this chapter in her life in the book Through Gates of Splendor.

 One quote from the video I'm sharing today brightened my heart tremendously...."Faith is not a feeling, faith is a willed obedience."

We are not adrift in a sea of chaos. 

Believers live in the plans and will of God.

His plans and will are not accidental. Each moment is orchestrated and allowed with His perfect knowledge and wisdom.

Our goal is not to know the why and reason, our goal is acceptance with peaceful trust.

In trusting acceptance lieth peace.

Whatever He allows, our response is "Yes, Lord. You do all things well."

As Oswald Chambers wrote, " I'm not concerned with what God does. I'm concerned with who God is."

May you be blessed today as you rest in God's sovereignty and love.

We serve a mighty God, Whose plans for us will work out for His glory and our future joy.♥️
