Life's Little Moments

 

Pancake breakfast for hubby this morning. 

We ate and shared a little scripture reading and hymn.... Ephesians 1:17....." May the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which He has called you, what are the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints."

This verse is the foundation of what I pray when I come to the Throne of Grace on behalf of those I pray for.

Do you pray Scripture over those you bring to the Throne of Grace?

This scripture covers the important needs of each of those we love.

May God give them wisdom and reveal the knowledge of Himself to them.

May God open the eyes of their hearts... enlighten them so they seek Him and love His Word and His plans.

May they realize that He has given those He loves hope.

May they seek true riches. The riches found in an inheritance kept for them in heaven.

Lord Jesus,  open our loved ones minds to seek You and hold onto Your hope. May they be set apart in safety to follow and serve you all the days of their lives. Amen

Today may bring many concerns, but as the little hymn says...it's sweet to trust in Jesus and simply take Him at His word.

Jesus never lies.

The Bible never lies.

Find a scripture today and apply it simply by faith to your greatest need.

Then go on through this day trusting in Him.

He knows what He is doing in our lives and in the lives of those we love.

We are not created to carry the heavy burdens of life dear ones.

If we try to carry the burdens that only Jesus can carry we won't be able to rest within our minds, bodies  and hearts.

If He has given you a burden it's meant to be laid at His feet so that you can see the miracle He alone can do with that situation.

Sometimes we try and try to figure out a way.

We think that we are to carve a way through a difficulty.

No...this isn't the way to handle things.

Carry the burden to Jesus and rest fully in His Arms of love.

When we choose to trust Jesus and let go, rest returns. Everything is in His hands.

Now......we can go about the day.......prepare a meal, clean a closet, sweep a floor.....do the next thing in peace because Jesus, Whom we trust, is at work in the world caring for the things we cannot possibly bear on our shoulders.

Jesus won't let you down.

I know that.

You know that.

Let's enjoy this beautiful day and not borrow trouble from tomorrow or seek more than He has provided for this little moment.
